Now that your Genius Hour Project is underway, what do you predict will be your biggest obstacle? How do you intend to overcome that obstacle?
Now that my Genius Hour Project is underway, I feel like my biggest obstacle will be being able to get kids to be excited about the whole program. I'm worried that the only reason this project won't work as I panned it out because not enough children were interested in it. I want them to feel enthused about this because art is something to be excited about. Even if they aren't a big fan of it themselves, it is a creative and appropriate outlet for suppressed emotions and some kids need that.
How I plan to overcome this obstacle is have experts in art to volunteer and help me kick off this workshop with a day where we have to kids come to a designated location and just try it out for one day. Food and beverages will be provided. Games related to art will be held to get kids really excited about it. Hopefully this will at least attract some kids.
